Theme Park Magazine started as an idea on May 27, 2000. It took 21 years for that idea to become a reality. Founder and editor Joe Tracy has always been passionate about three things:
- Theme Parks.
- Themed Entertainment.
- Guest Experiences.
This passion, expertise, and a history in print and online media led to Tracy finally launching Theme Park Magazine on June 1, 2021.
- May 27, 2000 – Theme Park Magazine idea conceived. URL reserved.
- April 2021 – Theme Park Magazine publicly announced.
- June 1, 2021 – Theme Park Magazine opens to the public as an ad-free online magazine.

Joe Tracy is the founder and editor of Theme Park Magazine. He has spent a lifetime as a passionate enthusiast of theme parks, themed entertainment, and guest experiences. Tracy launched Theme Park Magazine in June 2021, as a heartfelt expression of his love for all things themed.
With more than 20 years of experience in traditional print and online publishing, and a degree in Public Relations, Tracy is an expert in his field. However, he remains humble and focused on delivering high-quality content that captures the essence of what makes theme parks so magical.
