A new dark ride, ‘SpongeBob’s Crazy Carnival Ride,’ will open on March 1 at CircusCircus Las Vegas. It promises an engaging and fun journey through the underwater world of Bikini Bottom. This $6 million project results from a collaboration with Sally Dark Rides, a renowned creator of dark rides and animatronics. The widely popular Nickelodeon animated series SpongeBob SquarePants inspired it.
A Unique Underwater SpongeBob Adventure
‘SpongeBob’s Crazy Carnival Ride’ offers a unique adventure, starting with Mr. Krabs inviting guests to partake in his zany collection of ride-through carnival midway games. However, the fun takes a twist as Plankton devises a plan to steal the Krabby Patty secret formula, leading guests on a whirlwind trip filled with laughter and interactive fun. With vehicles seating five passengers each, families can immerse themselves in SpongeBob and his friends’ colorful and captivating world.
Immersive Experience and Engaging Fun
The ride is not just an attraction but a fully immersive experience. With detailed sets, special effects, animatronics, and vivid projections, guests will be in the middle of the undersea antics of SpongeBob and his friends to life.
“We are thrilled to add the globally recognized characters of SpongeBob SquarePants to Circus Circus,” said Shana Gerety, Senior Vice President of Operations at Circus Circus. “Guests from all over the world will love how the over-the-top optimism and humor that SpongeBob SquarePants embodies is integrated in this exciting new attraction.”
The essence of ‘SpongeBob’s Crazy Carnival Ride’ lies in its ability to engage guests through interactive games and challenges, immersing them directly into the storyline and actions of the ride. This interactivity is complemented by vivid storytelling, where the colorful world of Bikini Bottom is brought to life like never before through dynamic sets and animations. Such a meticulously crafted narrative ensures that guests of all ages are not just spectators but active participants in the adventure. Moreover, the ride’s design is inherently family-friendly, making it an ideal choice for a family outing.
In addition to ‘SpongeBob’s Crazy Carnival Ride,’ Circus Circus Las Vegas continues to offer a wide range of attractions suitable for all ages. From The Adventuredome and Midway’s state-of-the-art video games to the Splash Zone water park, CircusCircus aims to be one of the few remaining family-friendly destinations in Las Vegas.
