A Milestone Collaboration: Star Tours and Disney Parks

The collaboration between Disney and the Star Wars universe can be traced back to 1987 when the groundbreaking Star Tours attraction opened at Disneyland. This first-of-its-kind motion simulator ride, inspired by the thrilling space battles of the Star Wars films, transported guests on an adventure like no other while paving the way for future collaborations between Disney and Lucasfilm Ltd.

The Evolution of Star Tours: The Adventures Continue

In 2011, Disney introduced an updated version of the Star Tours attraction, titled Star Tours: The Adventures Continue. This innovative iteration of the ride incorporated new technology, including 3D visuals and a randomized ride sequence, allowing guests to enjoy a different adventure each time they boarded. With the addition of characters and locations from the prequel trilogy and, later, the sequel trilogy, Star Tours continued to evolve, reflecting the ever-expanding Star Wars universe.
