Peppa Pig Theme Park Opens in North Texas

Peppa Pig Theme Park Dallas-Fort Worth officially opened its gates on March 1, 2025, in North Richland Hills, Texas. The new theme park, aimed at families with children up to six years old, is the second standalone Peppa Pig theme park globally and the second in the United States.

Merlin Entertainments, which creates location-based entertainment, developed the park in partnership with Hasbro, which owns the Peppa Pig brand. The grand opening celebration featured Merlin Entertainments Chief Executive Officer Fiona Eastwood alongside park characters, including Peppa Pig, George, and Mummy and Daddy Pig. Eastwood commented:

“Merlin Entertainments’ opportunity to bring an iconic children’s television character to life in a theme park is truly special. We’re not only responsible for building this beautiful park, but also for preserving the magic of PEPPA PIG in this immersive experience for little ones.”

A Park Built Just for Kids

The park is designed as an introduction to theme parks for young children, with attractions based on recognizable scenes from the popular animated series. Unlike traditional theme parks with high-intensity rides, Peppa Pig Theme Park features what the industry calls “pink-knuckle” experiences – attractions designed to be just exciting enough for preschoolers without being frightening.

Five age-appropriate rides form the core attractions:

  • Daddy PIG’s Roller Coaster serves as an introductory coaster experience.
  • Mr. Bull’s High Striker offers gentle vertical drops.
  • Grampy Rabbit’s Dinosaur Adventure takes families on a prehistoric journey.
  • Grandad Dog’s Pirate Boat Ride has no minimum height requirement.
  • Peppa Pig’s Balloon Ride provides aerial views and includes wheelchair accessibility.

Beyond rides, the park features nine themed play areas:

  • Muddy Puddles Splash Pad
  • Peppa Pig’s Treehouse
  • Pirate Island Sand Play
  • Fun Fair
  • Peppa’s Pedal Bike Tour and George’s Tricycle Trail
  • Grandpa Pig’s Greenhouse
  • Rebecca Rabbit’s Playground
  • George’ s Fort
  • Madame Gazelle’s Nature Trail

The Muddy Puddles Splash Pad provides water play opportunities during warmer months. Families can also watch live performances at Mr. Potato’s Showtime Arena, with character meet-and-greets following each show.

An Accessibility Focused Theme Park

A notable aspect of the park is its emphasis on accessibility. PEPPA PIG Theme Park has been certified as an Autism Center by the International Board of Credentialing and Continuing Education Standards (IBCCES).

The certification ensures that the park provides appropriate accommodations for guests with autism and sensory sensitivities. Features include wheelchair-accessible paths, quiet spaces for sensory breaks, and detailed Sensory Guides that explain how each attraction might affect the five senses.

“Merlin Entertainments is dedicated to providing safe, inclusive and engaging experiences for all families,” said Jeremy Aguillen, General Manager of Peppa Pig Theme Park Dallas-Fort Worth.

Expanding the Peppa Pig Experience

The North Texas location represents the continued expansion of the Peppa Pig brand into dedicated theme park experiences. The concept began with Peppa Pig World, which opened within Paultons Park in Hampshire, England, in April 2011 as the world’s first dedicated Peppa Pig-themed area.

The first standalone Peppa Pig theme park opened in Winter Haven, Florida in February 2022. The Texas location just opened on March 1, 2025.

“By creating Peppa Pig Theme Park, the characters and places children see in the series and the toys they play with at home suddenly become tangible and experiential,” explained Matt Proulx, SVP of global experiences, partnerships and music at Hasbro.

Peppa Pig Theme Park Location and Visitor Information

The park is located at 8851 Boulevard 26 in North Richland Hills, approximately 12 miles from downtown Fort Worth and DFW Airport.

Single-day admission starts at $27.99, while Annual Passes cost $99.99 and include unlimited admission to both the theme park and Peppa Pig World of Play in nearby Grapevine. The park operates daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., with free parking available.

Merlin Entertainments maintains several other attractions in the area, including a LEGOLAND Discovery Center, Sea Life Aquarium, and Peppa Pig World of Play in Grapevine.

This new addition joins a growing trend of family-focused entertainment in North Texas, with Universal also building a family-oriented resort in Frisco. For families with preschool-aged children seeking age-appropriate theme park experiences, Peppa Pig Theme Park offers a specialized alternative to larger parks designed for broader age ranges. These type of smaller theme parks are a growing trend in the industry.
