Mattel Adventure Park, a unique entertainment destination where iconic toys become larger-than-life experiences, will open in 2026 in Kansas City. Groundbreaking will take place later this year. This will be the second Mattel Adventure Park in the U.S.

This new destination is sure to provide infinite fun for the whole family.”
Roller Coasters, Barbie Beach House, and More
Below is a list of attractions and rides that will appear at the new Mattel Adventure Park:
Roller Coasters:
- Hot Wheels Bone Shaker: The Ultimate Ride
- Hot Wheels Twin Mill Racer
Barbie Beach House:
- Design your own Barbie dream set in a special interactive store.
- Experience a holographic Barbie come to life with fancy technology.
- Take flight in a Barbie-themed flying theater.
- Relax and eat at the Barbie rooftop restaurant (grown-ups can have drinks too!).
Other Experiences:
- Battle for Eternia in a Masters of the Universe laser tag arena shaped like Castle Grayskull.
- Play a wacky round of mini-golf inspired by classic games like Magic 8 Ball and Pictionary.
- Climb and play on a giant UNO-themed structure.
- Join Thomas & Friends on five family-friendly rides and attractions in the World of Sodor.
According to Josh Silverman, Mattel’s Chief Franchise Officer, the park will offer a mix of thrills and immersive experiences based on beloved Mattel toys. “Mattel Adventure Park Kansas City will bring our iconic brands to life with epic roller coasters, family-friendly attractions, an immersive theatre, themed dining, and so much more… We are thrilled to… invite new fans to experience the world of Mattel in all-new ways as they create lasting memories with loved ones.”
The park, which will include more than 20 rides and attractions, will be located in Bonner Springs, Kansas, near the Kansas Speedway within the greater Kansas City metropolitan area. Before construction begins, the park requires approval from the City of Bonner Springs, with the first public hearing scheduled for April 8, 2024. This nearly $500 million investment promises to create 400 new jobs in the area.
